The S.A.F.E. Approach
The S.A.F.E. Approach is a training program designed for use in instances when the use of verbal and non-verbal communication skills can reduce the risk of negative or violent encounters with mentally challenged, angry, aggressive, or hostile persons while increasing the safety of all involved.
At the heart of The S.A.F.E. Approach is the concept of recognizing potentially hazardous situations and mitigating their impact all while treating individuals with dignity and respect.
Our Curriculum
Tailored to the specific needs of each program, our curriculum addresses the problems and issues unique to the settings where workplace violence has become a problem. Whether it be in healthcare settings, office or industrial workplaces, schools, or places of worship, our curriculum is designed to help mitigate issues relating to workplace violence. Your employees will come away from our program with a better understanding of how to reduce the potential for violent encounters and to mitigate their impact on your institution.
About Strategos
Strategos was founded in 2002 under the name of Strategos International, L.L.C. as a Missouri based Limited Liability Corporation (FEIN – 04-3688026). From 1998-2002, the founders of Strategos were training directors for the Surefire Institute, the tactical training division of Surefire, L.L.C., a California based law enforcement and military lighting products company. The co-owners of Strategos have over 50 years of combined law enforcement service, tactical training instruction and consulting experience.
For the past 20 years, we have grown to 66 employees, over 500 contractors, and 75 instructors that fulfill the wide variety of training, investigation, surveillance, and protection needs of our school, healthcare, government, faith-based, corporate, law enforcement, and military clients. Strategos has served, trained, and consulted with over 300,000 business professionals, school, church, government, military, and law enforcement personnel all over the world since 2002 and have offices in Missouri, Texas, and Florida.
Our instructors possess many different types of expertise; including physical security assessments, safety preparedness and planning, tactics, live-fire, corporate/church security and training, healthcare training, large event planning and security, and planning/organizational development topics. Solutions we have provided our Clients include labor strike staffing and security, reduction in force/high risk termination planning and security, natural and man made disaster response security.
Strategos has several professionals who have achieved the ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP)® Certification. The CPP credential provides demonstrable proof of knowledge and management skills in eight key domains of security outlined as follows:
